Vietcombank’s Hung Yen branch is expanding its use of digital technology to improve banking services and support businesses across the province. The initiative includes simpler procedures, electronic documents and new systems designed to make financial services faster and more convenient.
The bank says digital transformation has become an important part of its long-term development strategy. Its goal is to improve customer service while reducing paperwork, processing times and operating costs.
The branch has introduced several digital tools across its daily operations. These include electronic documents, digital signatures, specialised management software and systems that help staff store and retrieve information. The bank is also improving online services for customers who want to open accounts, manage savings or receive loan payments without visiting a branch.
The changes are expected to benefit businesses as well as individual customers. Companies need reliable banking services to manage payments, finance production and support investment projects. Vietcombank’s Hung Yen branch has therefore focused on services such as corporate lending, trade finance, international payments and foreign exchange transactions.
The branch has a business scale exceeding 30 trillion Vietnamese dong. It is directing credit towards companies with practical investment plans and sound financial positions. Funding is being used for factory construction, machinery purchases, working capital and business expansion.
Several industrial projects in Hung Yen have received support from the bank. One example is the infrastructure development project at Industrial Park No. 3, which covers about 159 hectares. The park has attracted 41 secondary investment projects, with registered foreign investment of around $134 million.
Digital banking has helped businesses complete financial procedures more quickly. Online transfers and electronic loan services can reduce delays and make it easier for companies to manage their finances.
The branch is also investing in employee training, information security and data protection. These measures are important as more banking services move online.
The development reflects a wider effort to modernise Vietnam’s banking sector. Stronger digital services could help businesses operate more efficiently and support investment across the country’s growing industrial areas.
