VinFast is seeing strong demand for electric vehicles in Vietnam. The company delivered 21,781 EVs in July 2026.
That was 21.3% more than the 17,955 vehicles sold in June. It also pushed VinFast’s sales for the first seven months of the year to 137,697 vehicles.
The pace puts the company on track to beat its record in Vietnam. VinFast delivered 175,099 vehicles in its home market during all of 2025. Its sales in the first seven months of 2026 have already reached 79% of that total.
The figures point to a major shift in Vietnam’s car market. Electric vehicles are gaining more space. VinFast is also using a wide range of models to reach private buyers and commercial users.
In 2025, reported sales from VinFast, members of the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers Association and Hyundai Thanh Cong reached 604,134 vehicles, according to local reports. VinFast alone accounted for about 29% of that reported market with its 175,099 deliveries.
The figure does not cover every vehicle sold in Vietnam. Some luxury brands and imported car makers do not release full sales data. Chinese brands are also expanding in the market.
Still, the reported figures show the scale of VinFast’s domestic business.
The VinFast Vietnam EV sales growth is not coming from just one model. Several vehicles are helping drive the increase.
The Limo Green was VinFast’s top-selling model for the first seven months. It recorded 32,331 deliveries during the period. The seven-seat electric vehicle added 4,404 units in July.
The model has also become important to VinFast’s commercial vehicle plans. It can serve taxi and ride-hailing fleets. Such vehicles often travel long distances each day, which can make lower energy and service costs more important.
The smaller VF 3 was VinFast’s best-selling model in July. The company delivered 5,564 units during the month. Its total for the first seven months reached 29,345.
The VF 5 and Herio Green also posted strong numbers. Together, they added 4,407 deliveries in July. Their combined sales for the year reached 24,574.
The sales mix shows that Vietnam’s EV shift is spreading across different types of vehicles. Demand is not limited to large family cars. Smaller cars and commercial models are also gaining ground.
VinFast is also targeting the low end of the market with the Minio Green. The company delivered 2,429 units in July after cutting its listed price to 188 million Vietnamese dong, or about $7,100.
The four-seat electric car is aimed at city travel. VinFast also presents it as an option for people who now use motorcycles.
The company has another small EV ready to join the market. VinFast opened reservations for the VF 2 in July. It received 28,742 reservations, according to the company. Deliveries are set to start in September.
Larger models are also adding to sales. VinFast delivered 1,993 VF 6 vehicles and 1,674 VF MPV 7 vehicles in July. Their seven-month totals reached 16,038 and 10,851.
Commercial use may become one of the key drivers of Vietnam’s EV market. VinFast’s Green range is aimed at taxis, ride-hailing firms and other business users.
These vehicles can spend many hours on the road. That gives operators more chances to save on energy and maintenance costs. It also gives EV makers a large and steady source of demand.
VinFast’s July sales suggest Vietnam’s EV market may be reaching a new stage. More buyers and fleet operators appear ready to choose electric vehicles.
If the current pace continues, VinFast Vietnam EV sales could set a new record in 2026. The result would strengthen the company’s position in its home market and show how quickly electric transport is expanding in Vietnam.
