Hanoi has reached another milestone in the construction of Metro Line No. 5 with the successful installation of the first steel cage for the diaphragm wall system at S3 Station, also known as Ring Road 1 Station. The operation marks important progress in the underground phase of the project and was completed under strict technical and safety standards to ensure precise positioning.
Located at the busy Nguyễn Chí Thanh–La Thành intersection, S3 Station is being developed alongside the Ring Road 1 flyover project. Project authorities have coordinated construction schedules and site management to minimize disruptions, optimize available space, and maintain safety while both major infrastructure projects move forward simultaneously.
The Hanoi Metropolitan Railway Management Board (MRB) said it will continue working closely with contractors and relevant agencies to ensure the metro project remains on schedule while meeting quality and safety requirements. Officials also pledged to provide regular updates as construction progresses, supporting the city’s broader efforts to improve public transportation and urban infrastructure.
